I'm not a furry, but really? Why all the hate? Bronies may think that all furries are "turned on" by these anthropomorphic creatures, but honestly there is probably the same amount of furries who like yiff as there are bronies who clop. We're not all that different. In fact, bronies have turned one of there favorite background ponies, Lyra, into a furry without even knowing it! Can't we all just get along and live up to our "love and tolerate" reputation?

Furries have diverse characters of different species. Bronies....have...very plain characters.

Yeah, you can think of it as a lot of fandoms that do this. There's the Broad topic (Furry, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Anime, etc.) and the sub topic (Brony, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, DragonBall, etc.). Example: Sci-Fi fans and Trekkers... Trekkers are to Bronies as Sci-Fi fans are to furries. The trekkers are part of the larger subject matter of Sci-Fi culture, but they might only like Star Trek, and the Sci-Fi fans might like most sci-fi except star trek... but tend to go together. ^___^

I'm a nerd fan of just about every fandom that's out there, and fairly broad range of subtopics interest me.
