Planet Kanofis - KaliiKuun

I've been on a Kanofis character creation rampage lately.

The KaliiKuun (Ka-lee-ē-koon) or the "Kanofisian badger" is a large and powerful inteltau breed. for nearly 200 years they ruled the planet with an iron fist. This was during what is now called the "Old Imperial" era. 1500 years ago, the badgers' tribes stopped fighting each other, and united to conquer the known planet. The Badgers managed to do so fairly swiftly, and set up absolute planetary rule within 25 years.

The other breeds were tolerant of their new government, and many advocated the system. However, as the years progressed, the badgers abused their power more and more. When the badgers and their allies began enslaving whomever they wished to do any task they saw was for the good of the empire, the “Great Uprising” began. In those days, technology was similar to the Earthen dark ages and battles were waged mostly with tooth and claw. These wars, although devastating, forced the Inteltau to advance their technology and ethics in both war and throughout their multiple societies and cultures. After 10 years of war, the badgers stepped down, and the new democratic government was born.

Needless to say there was a lot of tension of tension and prejudice between the Kaliikuun and the other Kanofisian. Fortunately, a few generations later, this wore off and the all Kanofisians slowly integrated into the quasi-utopian world it is today.
