Description

Photos of my new Planey Kanofis puppet duo.

Here's a couple more angles:

-Creating Wes [link]

"Wes" (The little one) is a Haashondje, yet another creature from my fictitious Planet Kanofis. The communicator he wears (a custom mash-up with adjustable blinking/strobing LEDs) allows him to talk through his O.A.F., "Junior" (Walkabout Puppeteer). The Omni-functional Autonomous Facilitator, or "Oaf" for short, wears the corresponding communication receiver so it can translate through its vocal outputs.

He was originally conceived as a supporting character to be used in my capstone college film. It's been shelved for now since I decided to go with another script idea. Thus, his being incomplete for so long. I designed his mouth for expression as a ("Kermit" style) hand puppet. there's a slot for my hand behind his hips that covers up to my elbow. The O.A.F. has a false arm that hugs around his waist for an improved illusion (Same technique I used for Jak & Erik: [link] ).
